This journey is a combination of lush valleys of Kashmir with the raw, untamed beauty of Ladakh and an adventure that changes from lush green gardens to moon-like deserts in the span of days.
Your journey starts in Srinagar, where the Mughal gardens and the iconic Dal Lake provide a calm feel. The houseboats, willow-lined canals and aromatic Kashmiri cuisine of the city provide an unforgettable introduction to the region. From here, the landscape changes dramatically as you head toward Leh, passing through some of the highest motorable passes in the world.
Ladakh presents itself as a land of contrasts – barren mountains, topped with snow and covered in prayer flags, monasteries on top of cliffs. The starting point Leh, is your base to acclimatize and explore. Here, you will visit some ancient gompas such as Hemis and Thiksey which hold centuries of Buddhist heritage within their walls.
The highlight awaits at Pangong Lake, where crystalline waters stretch across the Indo-China border and reflect shades of blues which change throughout the day. Made famous by Bollywood, this lake sits at an altitude of 4,350 metres and is a surreal landscape that feels out of this world. The drive to Pangong through Changla Pass (5,360 metres) is an adventure itself that takes you through military checkpoints and small remote villages where life is moving at a different pace.

Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar. Meet our tour representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities. Later in the evening get ready to visit the breath-taking Mughal Gardens-founded in the Mughal era. Nishat Bagh, Chashme-e-Shahi and Shalimar Baghcomprise the Mughal gardens. Enjoy shikara ride in Dal Lake (own cost). Stay overnight in Srinagar.
Post breakfast gets ready for your road transfer to Kargil. On the way, there are halts at Sonamarg – a pristine valley with lush views and snow-clad peak; Zojila Pass(a high-altitude pass); Drass Village- the world’s 2nd coldest inhabited place. Here you visit Drass War memorialhall and Museum- also known as Vijaypath. The memorial was constructed by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers and officers of the Indian Army who laid their lives in Kargil War. Evening arrival in Kargil. Check-in formalities.Overnight Kargil.
After breakfast, start driving towards Leh. On the way stop for a quick visit to the Lamayuru monastery. Lamayuru is known for its unique landscape that resembles the moon, thus called Lamayuru Moonland. Take clicks of the beauty to cherish it as wonderful memories. Continue with your journey. Stop at the Sangam, Magnetic hillto marvel at the amazing natural wonder. Also pay respects to Pathar Sahib Gurudwara- constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev ji- the founder of Sikh religion and the first guru. Continue your road journey. On arrival in Leh, visit the Hall of Fame Museum, a war memorial by the Indian Army that was founded in the memory of Indian soldiers who laid lives in Indo-Pak wars. Complete the check-in formalities at your hotel. Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, visit the most important monasteries of Ladakh – Shey Palace, Thiksey Gompa and Hemis monastery. First, we visit the ruined Shey Palace, once the summer palace of the pre-Tibetan kings. The palace monastery houses a large, bronze, blue haired Buddha statue and next stop at superbly situated, 16th century, Thiksey Gompa, which is perched on a hill top and continues to visit Hemis Monastery (5 km from Kharu) is also on the cards. Hemis is the largest and richest monastery complex in Ladakh. Later in the evening visit the famous Shanti Stupa, Leh PalaceandLeh local Market. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Leh.
After a leisurely morning breakfast drive to Nubra valley (The valley of flowers) via Khardung la, (18300feet) considered as one of the highest motor able road in the World. The view from top of the passes is amazing. One can see all the way south over the Indus valley to the seemingly endless peaks. After explores we drive toward the down Hunder past an area of rolling sand dunes, one can see double hump Camel and visitors can take a camel safari (Own cost) here. Dinner and overnight in nubra valley.
After breakfast at the hotel we drive to the next destination, Pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tangtse and Spangmik (Pangong). Just a few Kms drive from Hunder, visit Disket Monastery and later continue your drive towards Pangong, the road follows the Shyok river, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village, the entire setting being very picturesque. Afternoon we reach at Pangong lake and enjoy your day at pangong lake and observe the majestic Lake. Overnight stay in Cottages/camps.
During early morning, you can enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Post breakfast drive to Leh via Changla pass you will reach leh by noon.Relax and overnight at the hotel.
